When Ann Diggs passed away, her son Tom inherited her recipe cards. Going through them, they read like a veritable Rosetta stone of post-war feminism, food history, and an accidental memoir. Having shared her struggles with and recovery from an eating disorder, Tom felt compelled to write about her through her signature -and some of his favorite - recipes. He has made each dish so that he could delve experientially into the nuances of each card.
